Booking terms

Terms

TODO(owner): these terms have not been written.

The headings below are a structure to take to a solicitor. Nothing on this page is legal advice, and no wording has been drafted — inventing booking terms would be worse than having none, because a bride would reasonably rely on them. This page is set to noindex until it is real.

  1. 1.Booking and deposit

TODO(owner): What secures a date, how much, and whether the deposit is refundable. The pricing page currently states a 20% deposit — the terms must agree with it.

  2. 2.Payment schedule

TODO(owner): When the balance falls due, accepted payment methods, and what happens if a payment is late.

  3. 3.Previews and trials

TODO(owner): Whether a preview is required, how far ahead it happens, and what a rescheduled preview costs.

  4. 4.Changes to your booking

TODO(owner): Adding or removing people from the party, changing the start time, and any cut-off after which changes cannot be accommodated.

  5. 5.Cancellation by you

TODO(owner): Notice periods and what is payable at each. This is the section most likely to be tested, and the one to take advice on first.

  6. 6.Cancellation by me

TODO(owner): Illness, accident or emergency: what you do, whether a replacement artist is arranged, and what is refunded.

  7. 7.Travel, parking and access

TODO(owner): Mileage, parking and congestion charges, and what is needed on the morning — a table, a mirror, a plug socket, natural light.

  8. 8.Timings on the day

TODO(owner): Arrival, how long each service takes, and what happens if the morning runs late for reasons outside your control or mine.

  9. 9.Skin, allergies and patch tests

TODO(owner): Products used, patch-testing for lash adhesive, and the duty to disclose allergies or skin conditions in advance.

  10. 10.Photography and social media

TODO(owner): Whether images from the day may be used in the portfolio, and how consent is asked for and withdrawn. Must agree with the privacy notice.

  11. 11.Liability

TODO(owner): Limits of liability and insurance held. Do not draft this without advice.

  12. 12.Governing law

TODO(owner): England and Wales, presumably — confirm.

Once written, this page should state the date it last changed and which version applies to a booking already taken.
